Pets make great travel companions.
Please let us know about your travels as soon as possible so we can prepare you as quickly and efficiently as possible!
Before travelling internationally or to a different state, your pet must obtain a Certification of Veterinary Inspection by an accredited doctor. We urge clients to plan ahead and schedule a visit so our doctors can examine your pet to ensure they are healthy enough for travel based on specific animal health requirements. Travelling companions must be disease and parasite free, current on required vaccines and endorsed by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
If you are travelling internationally, a health certificate is required by a majority of airlines within 10 days of travel. While it is ideal to bring your pet onboard with you, it may not be allowed. If this is not an option, airlines typically require an Acclimation Certificate for your pet's protection while in the air. Strict international regulations also exist in regards to rabies vaccines, blood tests, parasite control and microchips.
