Your puppy will be given a vaccination and deworming protocol, and we’ll also help lay out a plan for future care which includes microchipping and spay/neuter surgery. Please bring a fecal sample to your puppy’s first wellness visit.

DVM
Dr. Anna Uhl joined the team as an Associate Veterinarian in 2022. Dr. Uhl knew she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine after a lifetime of being inspired by the human-animal bond and the ways companion animals enhance our lives. She has clinical interests in comprehensive preventative care, internal medicine, dermatology, reduced stress practices, and end-of-life care/grief support. She finds special meaning in providing care for senior pets, focusing on helping to improve their quality of life. She is happy to help support your care goals and questions as you navigate management options for your aging pets, honoring the lives shared with your cherished companions. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. She worked in primary care practice in Seattle for a number of years before moving back into her home state of Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association and has completed additional training through CAETA (Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy). Dr. Uhl also enjoys presenting for veterinary students around the country, providing a glimpse into the world of primary care practice.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Uhl enjoys living in the Madison community with her spouse Jim, and her cuddly pet family. Dr. Jackie Koepke joined Truesdell Animal Care Hospital and Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian in February 2017. Dr. Jackie has a gift for high-quality veterinary medicine, and has a special place in her heart for felines. Recently, Dr. Jackie also began expanding her expertise to pocket pets.
A friendly Wisconsin native, Dr. Jackie is an enthusiastic veterinary professional committed to the complete wellness of her patients. She grew up in Rosendale before attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Inspired to pursue a career in the veterinary field, Dr. Jackie obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Jackie accepted her first full-time position as an Associate Veterinarian offering primary care and 24/7/365 emergency services in Ripon, Wisconsin.
After practicing excellent client service and high-quality patient care in Ripon, Dr. Jackie became a Small Animal General Practitioner and Urgent Care Clinician in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Dr. Jackie enjoys the fast-paced hospital environment and the everyday interactions with her clients and their pets. Dr. Jackie’s areas of professional interest include soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. Above all, she is a feline enthusiast who enjoys keeping cats happy and healthy while supporting the owners who love them.
Adopted is the best ‘breed’ Dr. Jackie has ever met. At home, she is the pet parent of two, long-haired cats, Foxie and Gardetto. One of her feline family members believes he is a dog, while the other has classic cattitude. They can’t do any impressive tricks, but she loves them anyway!
Dr. Jackie embraces a healthy, active lifestyle philosophy. In her free time, she plays competitive volleyball and participates in a variety of workout programs. Dr. Marcella Goff is a Veterinarian at Truesdell Animal Care Hospital. Dr. Goff earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2005, and she completed an internship at the Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Annapolis, Maryland. Her largest area of professional interest lies in animal pain management. Dr. Goff began her veterinary career in 2005 when she worked in mixed animal practice before seeking her internship in emergency veterinary medicine. She explains that she has always been in awe of the strong bond animals and humans have, and that her favorite thing about this career is getting the opportunity to care for that bond on both the animal and human side of things.
Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Goff traveled to Poland before attending veterinary school where she taught English to high school students as a member of the Peace Corps. Now living in Madison, Wisconsin for going on ten years, she planted her roots with her husband, two children, her dog named Ernest, and three cats named Py, Reuben, and Rita. Alongside her love for her career, family, and pets, Dr. Goff also enjoys cross country skiing and going down to her local ceramics studio to make pottery in her free time! Dr. Marina Regalado is an Associate Veterinarian at Truesdell Animal Care Hospital and Clinic. She graduated from the University of Florida, with a Dual Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Food Sciences & Human Nutrition in 2011. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2016 where she pursued a small animal and exotics concentration. Her areas of professional interest include behavioral medicine, soft tissue surgery, and pain management. Dr. Regalado began working in the veterinary industry in 2007 as a cage cleaner, while performing in-house fecal floats. She was inspired to become a veterinarian after her love of animals (especially cats!) and a passion for science and learning new things. Ever since she was just 5 years old, she knew veterinary medicine was the field for her. Dr. Regalado says the best part of being a veterinarian is helping animals better communicate with their owners. She enjoys determining the cause for a limp or a down disposition, detecting abnormalities in a timely fashion, and working with owners to improve the lives of their pets.
Growing up in Altamonte Springs, a suburb of Orlando, she currently resides in Madison, WI with her wife Caroline, and two children, Calvin and Spencer. They also share a home with two cats, Alabama and Bagheera, along with a ball python snake, Pythagoras. When she is not practicing veterinary care, she loves to read, cross stitch, and play video games. A fun fact aboutDr. Regalado is that she has a knack for memorizing movie dialogue and can recite most of the classic Disney movies line for line! Dr. Jacy Steele always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Since she was a small child, she’s felt a love of and natural connection to animals. Her first job at the age of 16 was working in the kennel at her local veterinary hospital, and as a young adult she developed a passion for helping animals while having the opportunity to work with cattle, monkeys, and zoo animals. Today, Dr. Steele is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and the Medical Director at Truesdell Animal Care Hospital and Clinic.
In 2010, Dr. Steele earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, as well as her Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She also completed an emergency internship program at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI. Dr. Steele has always had a growing interest in pain management, and considers veterinary surgery as her area of expertise. Since 2010, she has worked in emergency medicine, handling more urgent and critical diseases. Dr. Steele finds fulfillment in working with her clients to keep them involved in the care and medical management of their special pets, and is eager to begin forming lasting relationships with the clients and patients at Truesdell.
Originally from Rochester, MN, Dr. Steele currently resides in the Madison area with her husband Ed, two children, and black Labrador, Luna. When she is not practicing high-quality veterinary medicine, Dr. Steele enjoys doing anything outside; hiking, swimming, and chasing her kids! At Truesdell Animal Care Hospital and Clinic, we offer core vaccines necessary for all pets and non-core (optional) vaccines based on your pet’s medical history, lifestyle, and risk of exposure. For the most effective protection, your puppy or kitten should begin receiving vaccinations between 6 and 8 weeks of age.

Growing up with nature as her backyard fueled her love of animals even more and she landed her first job at a veterinary clinic in her hometown of Dodgeville, WI.
